– Medical –
– Doctors –
Evaluating patients in a Christian setting is a wonderful experience.
The opportunity to share your faith, pray with patients, and ask for a “Past
Spiritual History” is unique. As a physician, the only things you really need
to bring are your God-given talents and abilities and the mind-set of serving
others. Most physicians will bring a stethoscope, and their “eye and ear kits”
from medical school that may be collecting dust in the closet. You need
not be a primary care physician to participate. We continue to have many
sub-specialists serve, and enjoy it. If your specialty training involves
the EYE, then please select EYE from the menu.
– Nurses –
As a nurse, you are able to put your medical training in action. Each patient has
a triage assessment before any treatment. Blood Pressure Screenings, Glucose checks,
and obtaining a past medical history are some of the things you will do.
You will have the opportunity and time for medical education of disease processes
and prevention if you wish. It is a non-stressful environment in which patients
feel the freedom to ask questions they may not otherwise ask.
– Physical Therapists –
Physical therapists display the essence of the physical touch to patients.
Longstanding illnesses or abnormalities may be addressed and an action plan
offered to correct certain problems. Again, it is one more opportunity for health
care professionals to utilize their medical skills.
– Students –
We clearly enjoy having students in the medical field join us.
We have had numerous medical, dental, and nursing students help in past Clinics.
It is a great way for students to learn different ways to incorporate faith with
present and future medical opportunities. And, it can give clinical experience to
students who are just beginning their schooling.
